Nutrition and Health & Wellness Industry Continues to Accumulate Impressive Volume of Dealflow in 2017

NCN adds 460 companies to its Dealflow Database in 2017; 10-year total 3,100

NCN Presents 89 Companies at 5 Investor Meetings in 2017, including 1st in Canada

Early stage investment activity on the Nutrition and Health & Wellness Industry continued to increase in 2017. Nutrition Capital Network added a fifth meeting to its schedule of Investor Meetings attended by over 400 investors and 46 NCN Cornerstone Investors that were introduced to 89 presenting companies, selected from applicant pool of 460 companies.

Branded Food & Beverage represents the majority of deal flow accumulated by NCN since founding in 2007 with 1,623 companies evaluated by NCN’s Principals and Screening Committee, and two-thirds of the 460 companies added in 2017. NCN’s acquisition by New Hope Network (owned by Informa Exhibitions) enhanced its reach into the Natural & Organic Foods community built at the Natural Products Expo events where NCN and New Hope have collaborated on Pitch Slam events at Expo West and Expo East since 2012. In addition, Informa’s Global Health & Nutrition Network through SupplySide and Vitafoods has enhanced reach into ingredients, nutrition science and technology.
