The nutrition industry is distinguished by the creativity and passion of its entrepreneurs, but too few growing companies have access to professional capital and all the benefits that come with it. The mission of Nutrition Capital Network is to facilitate the financing process for small companies and introduce investors to the next generation of successful brands in the nutrition, health, wellness, natural/organic and green product industries.

NCN hosts two Investor Meetings annually. Our Fall Investor Meeting, NCN V, will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2009 in San Francisco. Registration for investors is now open. Presenting companies are invited to start the free application process. At NCN IV, held in New York City this past April, we presented 22 companies, prescreened by NCN principals, to an audience of about 60 private equity and strategic investors.

NCN Investor Meetings are part of a broader service platform being developed for partnering between nutrition industry firms and financial investors. On February 5, 2009, we held our third Online Capital Forum webcast, entitled Raising Capital in a Tough Environment. Other virtual tools are also in development, all with the goal of connecting companies and investors more efficiently. However, the NCN vision goes beyond helping to improve the efficiency of capital formation in this dynamic sector. It also aims to accelerate the impact of nutrition companies on the country’s healthcare crisis, the food industry and the wellbeing of the general population.
